João Batista Vilanova Artigas was a Brazilian architect, engineer, urban planner and university professor whose work is associated with the architectural movement known as the São Paulo School.

Between 1948 and 1955 Vilanova Artigas designed several buildings in Londrina, in the state of Paraná, Brazil. Among his projects, the following stand out: the "Municipal Bus Station", the "Cine-Theather Ouro Verde", the "Autolon Building" and the "Children's House', among other works in conjunction with the architect Carlos Cascaldi.
Polimato Studio was commissioned to produce an animation essay of 2 minutes for a documentary directed by Luciano Pascoal about the building Artigas designed and created for the city of Londrina.
